Who Is Butler & Associates Insurance Agency?
Butler & Associates Insurance Agency has been serving insurance clients in Minnesota and upper Midwest for over 20 years. By using the latest technology, in person or virtual, we serve our clients well beyond our office location in Apple Valley MN.
We are an independent insurance agency, which means we represent more than one insurance company. The Agents at Butler & Associates have chosen to work with some of the most respected local and national providers of personal, business, and life insurance. We offer individualized insurance plans to our preferred personal lines and niche commercial clients.
Helping our clients become informed insurance consumers is a top priority for our agency.
Bill Butler, CIC, CISR, CWCA President, Insurance Agent
Bill Butler is originally from Wisconsin and is the only child of Dan and Linda Butler. He moved with his family to Minnesota
in 1986 and now resides in Burnsville, Minnesota, with his wife, Shannon and their cat, Louie. He enlisted into the infantry with
the Minnesota Army National Guard in 1993, and during his twelve-year career with the army, served in various units within
the Minnesota Army National Guard and 101st Airborne Division.
Since joining his parents at their insurance agency in Apple Valley in 2004, Bill has worked in all areas of the agency, from service and
sales to agency operations, and was named president of the agency in 2017, which is the same year he founded Butler Vet Insurance.
Butler Vet Insurance is the niche commercial division at Butler & Associates Insurance Agency dedicated to helping veterinarians protect everything they have worked so hard for. Understanding the importance of being able to educate his clients, Bill has focused on educating himself within the industry and has earned the following designations: certified insurance service representative, certified insurance counselor, and certified work comp advisor.
Butler & Associates Insurance Agency has been recognized nationally within the insurance industry as a top agency and was named Rough Notes Agency of the Month in July 2019. Rough Notes serves the insurance industry and has been in publication since 1878.
He has been a member of the Minnesota Independent Agents and Brokers Association, MIABA, since starting his insurance career in
2004. Bill was named Minnesota Young Agent of the Year in 2012 and is currently a director at large for the Minnesota Independent Agents and Brokers Association.
Bill is active in his local community as the president-elect for the Rotary Club of Apple Valley, Foundation Secretary for the Apple Valley Rotary Scholarship Foundation and is passionate about giving back to others locally, regionally, and globally through Rotary projects and grants.
Leading his team, protecting his clients, and working to build a “GREAT” business are what drives Bill to take action every day.
In November 2017 he was named President of Butler & Associates Insurance Agency.
